INSPIRATION
Valentine’s Day comes this month. Special gifts, dinners out at fine restaurants, cards and candy are a part of the annual remembrance of love. It is shared with that person whom we love.
The heart is a symbol that
represents our love. They
will be displayed in candy,
clothing and everywhere.
My “heart” has been given to Dora for over 44 years now. We have shared “ups” and “downs” on our marriage pathway, but our love remains. I love her! We use the word “love” in many ways. Note:
I love my parents. I loved my dog when I was growing up. I love a colorful sunset. But, I do not “love” each of those in the same way.
Re-evaluate your definition of love. What does it mean to you? Don’t just say “I love you.” You can find ways to prove your love.
Let us not forget the Father’s love for
us this Valentine’s Day. It is the greatest
of all loves this world has known. God
didn’t just say “I love you,” He proved it
by sending His Son to die on a rugged
cross called Calvary.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
Here’s the songwriters thoughts, “to write the love of God above, would drain the oceans dry, nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky.”
Celebrate with your loved one, but don’t forget who loves you the most…your heavenly Father.
